Dr. Pooria Shahin, DDS
After completing his undergraduate degree with honors from Emory University in Atlanta in just three years, Dr. Pooria Shahin attended Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Graduating with honors, he received his doctorate in dental surgery in 2009. Dr. Shahin completed his Surgical/General Practice residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Since that time, he has managed and built Brooklyn Dental Spa. Dedicated to providing the finest quality dental care for the Brooklyn community and attaining very high levels of patient satisfaction, Dr. Shahin has seen his patient population grow tremendously. He looks forward to serving his loyal community for many years to come.

The Cypress Hill dental staff here are incredibly friendly. Nicole at the front desk is a true gem. Dr. Shahin was amazing during an emergency visit when I broke a tooth during an emergency work in visit and needed a temporary solution until he could start the crown process. Queen, his assistant, was very kind and comforting, and the new massage chair was a nice touch. This team really goes above and beyond to make the experience easier.
As a Brooklyn native, I've seen my mother receive exceptional care from Dr. Shahin for years, which shows that their practice is truly a cut above the rest with their top-tier dental care. I’m writing this review because, during the Christmas holidays, one of my veneers (a front tooth) popped out (front tooth!). These veneers are nearly 10 years old and were originally placed by a top doctor in Delaware. Even though Dr. Shahin’s office wasn’t accepting new patients, they took me in the very next day. Dr. Shahin himself handled the repair, and when I left, my tooth actually looked better than before. I paid out of pocket, and the cost was very reasonable. My first appointment at Brooklyn Dentist was a wonderful experience. The dental technician was exceptionally friendly and upbeat during my whole examination and dental cleaning. She performed all pretreatment procedures flawlessly, and her passion for her work was evident. Dr. Shahin also provided a thorough examination and diagnosis, and we'll be scheduling follow-up appointments to address my dental issues. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The entire atmosphere made me feel completely at ease and well cared for.
